Assigning modelentity to only workers that are on shift.

Hi everyone, 

I'm wondering if there is a way to only assign modelentities to workers that are currently on shift. In my model I currently have modelentities assigned to a worker using an add-on process for created entity using set row, a table including all the workers, and an assign step to assign a value to a modelentity object reference state variable.
